Hello readers, followers, and fellow indie authors!

February is upon us, so the New Year is truly underway. With every New Year, one might say there are new possibilities, but an optimist might argue that every day brings new opportunities! Every day also brings changes, but oftentimes, these changes actually create new opportunities as well. It’s natural to be a bit hesitant – perhaps even resistant – towards changes, but uncertainty should never hold anyone back from what could be a wonderful opportunity.

Hello to our favorite readers and fellow writers! We currently have another blog in the works to continue our self-publishing series, but in the meantime, we wanted to take a little break and wish everyone a “Happy Spring!” While spring’s official start was a few weeks ago, we’re finally starting to see milder temperatures here in the Northeast. Which brings us to today’s blog topic… Spring cleaning!

If you live in a region that experiences significant seasonal shifts (i.e., New Jersey, where it can jump from 30 to 70 degrees – sometimes in a matter of days!), there may be a few things you do to prepare for spring’s arrival. It's November, which is a month that we personally believe to be one of the finest of the year. And, it's not just because it's Jess's birthday month, but also for some other awesome reasons which we've outlined below.


For anyone who's unfamiliar with what "NaNoWriMo" is, it stands for National Novel Writing Month. Each November, both aspiring and practiced novelists work tirelessly to get their best ideas onto the page. The goal is to produce a 50,000 word novel in one month's time, and along the way, writers can meet up, give each other encouraging praise, and update their word count. We've personally never tried this fun and unique approach to writing, but if you're a participant, we'd love to hear about it! Good luck to all of you writers out there!
