Hello readers, followers, and fellow indie authors!
February is upon us, so the New Year is truly underway. With every New Year, one might say there are new possibilities, but an optimist might argue that every day brings new opportunities! Every day also brings changes, but oftentimes, these changes actually create new opportunities as well. It’s natural to be a bit hesitant – perhaps even resistant – towards changes, but uncertainty should never hold anyone back from what could be a wonderful opportunity.
On that note, for our sixth blog in “A Complete Guide to Self-Publishing Your Book,” we’ve decided to talk about a change we’re navigating in real-time. As indie authors, we’re always on the hunt for new marketing ideas. Goodreads has always been an excellent platform for re...
It's November, which is a month that we personally believe to be one of the finest of the year. And, it's not just because it's Jess's birthday month, but also for some other awesome reasons which we've outlined below.
For anyone who's unfamiliar with what "NaNoWriMo" is, it stands for National Novel Writing Month. Each November, both aspiring and practiced novelists work tirelessly to get their best ideas onto the page. The goal is to produce a 50,000 word novel in one month's time, and along the way, writers can meet up, give each other encouraging praise, and update their word count. We've personally never tried this fun and unique approach to writing, but if you're a participant, we'd love to hear about it! Good luck to all of you writers out there!
Welcome to Stingray City in Antigua! One of the places on this earth where the people are as friendly as the stingrays. That is, if you have squid to feed the stingrays! Local reports say that the island is beautiful, the people are really nice, and that the sun shines almost all of the time - not surprising for an island in the West Indies.
We all have one shot at this crazy life we are given, and we all seek enlightenment every day. “Carpe diem” comes to mind. We encourage you to write that book, take that long overdue vacation, take the kids to Disney, and live your life as you want to.
These honeymooners seem to be doing a really good job of just that.
We will be featured on Fussy Liberian this Saturday. Check out their awesome book deals and read on, friends!
Kurt’s blog- (while Jess and Dan are on their Honeymoon!)
Sailed off to Antigua, it took her three days on a boat. Lookin’ for some peace and quiet, maybe keep her dreams afloat. Why the Jimmy Buffett reference? My co-author Jess, and Dan LaRusso are currently enjoying the amenities of the Caribbean lifestyle. Beaches, saltwater, sunshine, new friends, stingrays, sand bars, and open bars. All of these experiences manifest into great memories, and memories like this are retained in all of us at one time in our lives. Jess and Dan are now honeymooners after an awesome wedding. Perhaps an event that will foster memories upon generations yet to come, through stories and happenings that will spark life itself. Time is a relative thing. My beautiful wife and I have been married for...
Jess and I have been crazy busy lately! From the e-book and paperback release of Computer Love Inc. III Blood Brothers, to the attempted timely release of my latest song, Vampire of Love, as well as Jess’s wedding plans, life is hopping!
Yes, friends, Jess is getting married! My favorite co-author is tying the knot this month. As a co-author and Dad I’m ecstatic about this. You see, my future son-in-law is not only a great person, but he built this web site for us also! So now, I appear to be a rather lucky guy. My daughter is a co-author and my future son in law builds web sites (help with brake jobs doesn’t hurt either). Not too hard to take!
I decided to write this blog while Jess deals with what she calls “Bride Brain.” I also believe...
